I would literally be the last person on earth who would go vegan because I love YOGURT way too much haha 😛 But invited for a bloggers meet to a vegan/ vegetarian place, I had to at least try it.
Ambiance: JLT is known for its cute restaurants by the water and this was no exception. Its a small yet such a homely place. They have outdoor and indoor seatings. Sitting inside once the sun was down was so beautiful – they had these tea-light decorations which were so pretty.
Service: Our food arrived quite on time and the servers were extremely helpful and courteous.

What we had;
Urth Summer Rolls [28AED]: These were basically veggies stuffed in traditional rice paper and served with some peanut sauce. These were good, had a lasting sweet flavour to it. But I did find them a little bland without the peanut sauce. Paired with it, these were so good! The veggies tasted so crunchy and delicious. Vietnamese Spring Rolls.
Spring Wraps [30AED]: These were wraps but with a twist. They were stuffed with veggies, seasonal fruits and cashew basil cream. Not my favourite, but I found the mix of veggies and fruits to be very interesting. Also, surprisingly, these are quite filling!
Miso Salmon on Freekeh [54AED]: I am not the salmon kinda person. I won’t go out of the way to try salmon but I am glad I got to try it here. Oooh! It was so delicious. The fish was so perfectly cooked and the miso glaze on it was amazing! The fillet was served on some durum wheat (freekeh).
Truffle Mushroom Risotto Cakes [52AED]: This was another favourite of mine. However, the Risotto was not one the most creamiest ones I have had but the taste was so on point. Who knew vegan Risotto could taste this good! It was served with vegan truffle cream. Super delicious – would recommend.
Veggie Tofu Noodles [50AED]: These were stir fried veggies with some tofu and served with some egg noodles. I am not kidding, I dislike tofu to the core. But man this dish came out so well. I was extremely happy. The flavours were so on point and the veggies tasted so fresh.
Buddha Burger [48AED]: To be honest, this vegetarian burger is in par with some of the best burgers I have ever had. The buns were completely gluten free – good for people with intolerance. The patty was made with quinoa, sweet potato and kidney beans. Served with some salad on the side.
Power Berries [25AED]: This drink was thick in consistency – just as I like it. It was made with raspberries, blueberries and almond milk. No sugar at all! I loved it, so fresh and healthy and the berries blended tasted so good!
Tabbouleh Twist [35AED]: Tabbouleh has always been my favourite. The tabbouleh served here was just so yummy! It had chopped up parsley, quinoa, kale, mint, tomatoes, lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. The salad tasted so fresh and the twist in it was actually amazing!
Do not forget to try their desserts out. The have some amazing array of desserts. My favourite being the sugar free chocolate mousse cake and banana based icecream with brownie.
Final thoughts: I really want people to stop thinking that vegan food does not taste good. Yes, they do try getting alternatives for milk based, animal based products but they taste equally good if not better. I loved my tasting at Urth. They have some amazing dishes in their menu and some of them are right up my alley.
