Was I delighted to visit BBQ delights or not? Read more to know.

Ambiance: If you have been to Rashid Boulevard, you would agree that it is one of prettiest spots in Dubai (during night). The entire street it lit up and so are the trees. What I am trying to say is that if the surrounding is so pretty, imagine how the restaurant would have been. I absolutely love the interiors! Such a neat work – they have alot of indoor and some out door seating as well. They have a small area for the kids to play while adults do what they do best – talk and eat 😛

Service: Oh the service was super efficient. They were so quick in bringing us the food and completely courteous.

Price: 125AED for two

What we had;

Hummus [20AED]: The hummus was so well done! Absolutely creamy with the perfect hint of sourness! We tried this with some Roghani Naan [8AED] which is a special kind of leavened flat bread which is thick and fluffy like pita bread but softer and with tiny air pockets and baked in clay ovens or tandoors. The combination quite delicious.

Chicken caesar salad [30AED]: Did not expect the salad to taste this good! The salad was just perfect while being drenched in salad dressing! The portion size was huge and the veggies were so fresh and crunchy. Would recommend this.. yes, a salad. 😛

Fried Prawns [65AED]: We had these sent back as the prawns were cold, hard and extremely chewy. Did not enjoy this one bit.

Batata Hara [20AED]: I am not so huge on potatoes but when you’re served cute pieces of potatoes tossed in chilli, spices and lots of lemon juice you are bound to fall in love.

Mutton Ribs [85AED]: I am going to insert a picture of this insane dish! This was way too huge and good for 3 to 4 people to share. My boyfriend nibbled on this to glory. This tender mutton is marinated overnight in rich spices and later charcoal grilled. He appreciated the fact that there was tons of meat to indulge in that just a big plate of bones. He loved the flavours and the texture of these mutton ribs and would recommend to all you mutton lovers out there!

Malai Tikka [35AED]: Such a usual order of ours everywhere we go. We love our malai tikka and we are not ashamed of admitting to it. 😛 These chicken boneless pieces are marinated in cream milk and mild spices. The malai tikka has an extremely creamy with a hint of sweetness flavour to it. We loved this dish with some chutney served on the side and some onions.

Chicken Behari Kebabs [35AED]: These are soft and tender strips of chicken marinated in red chillies, dried coriander, cumin, ginger and garlic. I really wish I could explain the texture to you – it is unlike something I have ever had before. The chicken meat was so soft and melted in our mouths is just about 0.0000001 seconds. It was my first time trying Behari kebabs and not going to lie, I am an absolute fan. What is your favourite type of kebabs?

Brain Masala [35AED]: Yep, you read it right. I don’t think I would ever be interested in having any sort of dish that has got to do with brain. Good thing is that my boyfriend is very adventurous and he will indulge in just about anything 😛 The brain (OMG!) was stir fried in butter with some basic ingredients such as onions, chillis, spices and tomatoes. He quite liked it for a first timer. The texture did not bother him much. If you remove the thought of having ‘brain’ for dinner – who knows you might even quite like it.

Prawn Masala [65AED]: With generous portion size and numerous prawn pieces, this curry was a hit. This was cooked in a tomato gravy which was tangy while being quite spicy – nothing that I complain off.

Butter Chicken [35AED]: Bet you saw this one coming. As a person who loves butter chicken, I appreciate some good quality, creamy and delectable butter chicken. BBQ delights served us some bomb butter chicken with tender pieces of boneless marinated chicken and some creamy and thick gravy. We had it with some garlic naan and we were in LOVE.

Chicken Biryani [40AED]: How could one not have some biryani at every chance you get? This layered biryani was so good! With generous pieces of chicken, fried onion goodness and some absolutely mouth watering masala – this was probably one of the best dishes served to us. The portion size was quite good. The chicken was well cooked and the marination had seeped all they way through. How could we even complain?

Shahi Tukrey [20AED]: Last I had this dessert was probably 5 years ago. SO when I did indulge in it, it bought back all those beautiful memories. This is a bread pudding Indian sweet of fried bread slices soaked in hot milk with spices, including saffron and cardamom. One of the perfect ends to our meal.

Kulfi Falooda [25AED]: Kulfi falooda is a frozen dessert, topped with sev along with rose syrup and this one had some yummy kulfi in it. We absolutely enjoyed the brain freeze we got after every bite. It was absolutely rich and milky. Do try it.

Banofee Pie [25AED]: I have had banofee pie just once before this with my aunt and I have absolutely loved this. So I was expecting this one to be very similar but it was not really. The sweet dish lacked in sweetness so it did not bring out the flavour much and tasted quite bland. Now, if that is how you like it – with less sweet, you would probably like this alot.

Rasmalai [25AED]: The name ras malai comes from two words in hindi: ras, meaning “juice”, and malai, meaning “cream”. It has been described as “a rich cheesecake without a crust”. This was nothing short of amazing and hands down my favourite! Such a sweet and smooth end to our amazing tasting at BBQ Delights.

Final Verdict: When the ambiance, service and food is so outstanding; there really is no reason for you to not visit this place. I would recommend this place for a large group as they have really spacious seating a fun vibe.
