Started off from scratch and purely because of their love for food, has Memory Lane managed to take me down the memory lane or rather not. Read ahead to find out 😉

**Travelling by car is a huge pain and you have to pay 10AED per hour for parking.

Ambiance: The place is beautiful. I will have to give them that. Walking in, I felt a calm feeling washing over me. They did not play loud music, rather had soft music being played in the background throughout. They have an open kitchen where you can watch your food cook up nice and hot. They also have a wall with fresh plants growing and that is just beautiful.

Service: We were the only people there so the service was alright. The food came in at quick intervals and we were pleasantly happy.

Price: I feel the food is priced aptly in relations to the quantity and quality of food.

What we had;

Kiwi Apple Mojito [20AED]: Pomegranate Mojito [20AED]: OMGOSH! It has been a while since I had some delicious mojitos and Memory Lane killed it! Their mojitos were just too good and we could not resist. The Pomegranate mojito was out of this world with a hint of sweetness and sourness to it- I was floored!

Chicken Tom Yam Soup [18AED]: Soup was alright. I have had better though. The chicken was very chewy and we could not ignore that. The soup in itself was quite alright. It was spicy and sour but we could not get the authentic thai taste in it unfortunately.

Prawns Thai Chilli [42AED]: Wow.. I was left speechless. I thought my favourite version of prawns always have been and always will be the dynamite shrimps but this was equally good. The prawns were crunchy and well lathered in the sauce. The shrimps were super spicy with hint of sweetness and evident thai flavours.

Chicken Tangy Sauce [38AED]: It was just about alright. Nothing in this dish stood out for me. I am pretty sure there are other appetizers that would have been a better pick instead of this. The chicken was a little hard but the sauce was nice and tangy in itself.

Sonali Kebab [42AED]: Chicken inside chicken 😛 Never had such kebabs before but OMG they were so good! I would totally recommend this particular dish. The kebabs were not spicy at all and were absolutely soft. With every bite, they just melted in my mouth and we were wanting more. A must try kebab dish at Memory Lane. Wish we were served with some sort of chutney or dip on the side though.

Murg Tikka Masala [38AED]: Typical north indian chicken tikka masala with strong flavours. The pieces of chicken were well cooked and marinated. The masala was very delicious when paired with butter naan.

Chicken Chilli Basil [38AED]: This Chinese curry was semi gravy with small bite size chicken pieces. The chicken was well cooked in a gravy rich in chilli flavours but lacked in the basil flavour department. We expected a little more since I am a big fan of strong basil flavour in my Chinese dishes.

Veg Chilli Garlic Noodles [30AED]: Oh these noodles reminded me of India. Its been a while since I had some delicious indo – chinese noodles. The vegetables were crunchy and tasted fresh. I felt like eating my noodles just as, without the basil chicken gravy. Totally recommend this as well.

Dessert: When asked for dessert, they said they did not have any to serve. I’d expect them to be a little prepared as they were aware of the fact that we were coming in for a menu tasting. I was disappointed.

Final thoughts: Some of their dishes are outstanding and some do not make it up to the mark. I really liked the restaurant’s ambiance and their mojitos. Oh, I am definitely coming back for their mojitos!
