Fellow Foodie: Nikhil Mammen

Tasting Session

About: 5 mins drive from Noor Bank Metro station, My Mosa #mymosa is located in Hangry Hanger in Al Qouz. Knowing the brutal Dubai heat, love the idea of their indoor truck feels. Free wifi, board games and comfy couches are only the few of many things I loved at this place.

Ambiance: This place is absolutely beautiful in the evening with tiny angel lights for decoration and live music being played. There are a few couches to plop on and plenty chairs if you find that more comfy and convenient. They have a handful of portable fans and air coolers if you’re feeling the heat a little too much.

Price: The pricing is a tad bit on the higher side but that is expected off of this kind of eating experience.

What we ate:

We really wanted to try their mint lemonade or their blueberry lassi – which they unfortunately could not serve us.

Mosas [20AED]

We were given a platter of these bad boys to try and when they got to the table, we were stoked. The samosas looked so good and absolutely mouth watering. They speacilize in innovative samosa ideas and to be honest I was really keen on knowing if they were actually worth the hype or not. They got us some Mushroom and Truffle with Wildberry Samosa, Butter Chicken Samosa, Jamaican Beef Samosa, Chipotle Chicken Samosa, Indian Veg Chaat Samosa.

I honestly cannot pick which one was better over the other. These were just so amazing! The fillings in each of the samosas were mouth watering and just melted in our mouths. I was shocked on how the samosa with the wild mushroom was one of my favourites. I do not like mushrooms but kudos to My Mosa’s for making me love these. The wild berry sauce drizzle on these gave it a sweet and tangy flavour. The butter chicken and chipotle again was so phenomenal that we just wanted more. The combinations and creations of these were out of the world.

Sliders [30AED]

Sliders are my favourites – they are small and easy to pop them up in your mouth. We were bought the Butter Chicken Sliders, Jamaican Sliders and Chipotle Chicken Sliders. Now the thing with these is that you gotta pop them in your mouth while they were still hot. We took some time with them, so by the time we had them, the bun was kind of dry. Leaving that aside, the butter chicken (pulled chicken tossed in makhni sauce with mixed greens) and chipotle chicken sliders (pulled chipotle chicken with sweet mango chutney and greens) were my favourite. The puled chicken in the makhni sauce was so flavourful and tasted like authentic butter chicken and we could not stop raving about them.

Loaded Mosa Fries [15AED]

Coming to my favourite thing I had that day – Fries with pulled tandoori chicken and makhni sauce. These were their signature fries that were topped with generous helping of makhni sauce and pulled chicken. Tip: Have these too while hot as if you leave them lying untouched for too long, they will get soggy due to the beautiful makhni sauce.

Nutella Mosa [20AED]

No meal is complete without some desserts.. and what’s better than some over hyped nutella 😛 We were served samosa filled with nutella with some icecream and caramel drizzle. Omgosh! The hot nutella samosa with some vanilla ice cream was divine!

Final Verdict: Please please please do visit My mosa in Hangery hanger and I promise you it is something you have never tried before. Go for their Samosas! You are bound to fall in love. Going with friends would be better as the upstairs seating is really open and fun with comfortable sofa arrangements and board games.
