Ambiance: If you compare the interiors of this branch with maybe the Business Bay branch or the Qusais branch, I will always pick them over the DCC one. I love the business bay one as they have curtains separating each table and you can eat in privacy as opposed to the Dcc branch.

Service: The service is prompt and efficient. The servers are well informed about the menu and are ready to explain what to expect in a certain dish if asked.

Price: The price range is quite average at 120AED for two people.

What we ate;

Murg Zafrani Biryani [36AED]: This biryani had pieces of boneless pieces of chicken marinated in saffron flavoured yoghurt and cooked in biryani rice and spices on dum in a sealed earthen pot. Honestly, I don’t see what is the hype about these biryanis.. I have tried 4 of these and yet every-time I have the same issues with it; the basmati rice is not cooked properly, the chicken pieces are hard and chewy and lack of authentic flavours. My friends had to add salt, pickle, yogurt to just eat it. I suggest they try inculcating more strong flavours to the biryani.

Butter Chicken: This curry was simply delicious. The pieces of boneless chicken were well cooked and marinated and were not chewy or hard what so ever. The curry was slightly sweet as its supposed to be and just like I love it. This curry is share able by two and costs somewhere around 33 – 36AED.

Mango Milkshake [19AED]: The Milkshake tasted really good and was thick enough. I liked the fact that it was not over sweet and the milkshake came in a big glass.

Masala Papad [5AED]: 5 dhs for a papad with a tbsp of kachumbar salad on top? hmm. Nothing out of the world, you can skip this one. The papad was highly soppy.. everything was falling apart.

Kachumbar Salad [10AED]: This salad was quite yummy with chopped onions, tomatoes and cucumber with salt and lime dressing. Pair it with the garlic yogurt you get with the biryani and you won’t be able to stop eating.

Paneer Tikka [28AED]: Pieces of soft cottage cheese, marinated in yogurt and flavoured with some tandoori masala. This was so mouth watering that I had to finish this all by myself. The paneer melted in your mouth and the tandoori masala just gave a nice kick to the whole dish. Loved it.

The Naans here are really amazing! Especially garlic butter naan. These are made fresh are served hot!

Final Thoughts: In my opinions, if they work on their biryanis just a little bit more, if will work wonders. Their curries are pretty great.
